The end is near! Only 10 years.

Only a decade to armageddon. Finally. I thought it would never come.

How do you know when an idea is completely and utterly bankupt? Well, when the celebrities begin their earnest ‘beat the enemy’, pep talk rally, campaign of hysteria and hyperboly, you know that the issue is completely devoid of any true significance much less any shred of truth or honesty.

“10 years to save the planet,” is an informative article that tells me all I need to know about the issue of global warming.

A NEW worldwide movement backed by celebrities,
musicians, politicians and business leaders is aiming to reverse the
effects of global warming over the next decade.  ~thesun.co.uk

If these celebrities believe something, it must be true! I mean the logic is undeniable. Just read these scientific proofs for yourself. You’ll be convinced in no time.

When Josh Hartnet, apparently a well known celebrity, says,

Josh said: “I grew up in Minnesota which is usually a cold place,
but we’ve seen abnormally warm winters the last couple of years, which
is unnerving.”

…I stand up and listen. When he puts it that way it makes total, like, sense. Dude.

“If water levels continue to rise at this rate, my house in New York
will be underwater, and I’ll have to get a gondola to get around. It’s
frightening.

Hm. Uh, huh. Yeah, gondola. Man, you said it! How can I refute that?

“I’m not on a mission or anything like that, that would be
ridiculous, I just want to tell people why I’m concerned about climate
change and if they want to make a change in their own lives that’s
great.”  ~thesun.co.uk

I don’t know how I ever doubted that we were destroying the planet this way. What a clueless clod I’ve been. But wait, there’s more!

Someone named KT Tunstall also layed out some heavy ammo for the global warming cause as well…

She said: “It’s becoming quite apparent to all
musicians how much more impact they can have. We’re always in big rooms
full of people, and the word about what you can do isn’t out yet.

This caused me to really really, (no really), think about this issue alot harder than ever before. You know when something becomes, “quite apparent to all musicians,” then you know that the issue must be serious, and obvious– if not completely ubiquitious as well.

Big rooms full of people.

Heavy.

After she said that I thought, “Man, what can I do to avert this certain disaster?” Then, even as I thought those thoughts that I had moments before thought harder about than ever before, she clearly elucidated me, heavily, right then.

“Things like not leaving your phone charger in the wall are so simple.”

So simple.

Now that these celebrities have set up this website to tell all the rest of us morons how to beat global warming we will surely win this war against our appliances. Without them, I’m sure that I would have remained ignorant, stubborn, and obtuse about this issue. Demanding some kind of proof that human activity is solely to blame for future destruction of the climate. Hooray for Hollywood! You saved the world again!

Dan Morrell, Founder of Global Cool said: “Over
the next 10 years Global Cool will give everyone the tools and
knowledge to actively decrease their own CO2 emissions and show them
how to encourage others to do the same.

“Together we can actively create a global movement committed to
pushing back the climatic tipping point, delivering a sustained long
term, benign future without the worst effects of climate change.”  ~thesun.co.uk

And remember Global Cool’s motto, “Global Cool is here to save a planet because we haven’t got anything better to do.” (Quoted directly from here.)

Then there’s Politicians, i.e. more celebrity geniuses

Of course, if Bush hadn’t misled us about climate change then maybe the stars wouldn’t have to create cool websites like www.global-cool.com to elucidate and educate us. But then Bush is as Bush does I guess.

Rep. Henry (Impeach Bush) Waxman will soon add hearings on how Bush lied, in addition to hearings on how Bush lied… er, yeah.

WASHINGTON (AP) —

The Democratic chairman of a House panel examining the government’s response to climate change
said Tuesday there is evidence that senior Bush administration
officials sought repeatedly “to mislead the public by injecting doubt
into the science of global warming.”  ~breitbart.com
