A mind is a terrible thing to waste

Just how does the, “Reality based community,” believe lies so readily?

No surprise there really. BDS is a virulent and debilitating disease.

42% of Democrats Think George Bush Caused 9/11 or Let it Happen…

The Truthers are absolutely giddy at the Zogby poll results that confirms 42% of democrats believe that the Bush administration orchestrated the events of 9/11/2001, or at the very least set back and let it happen.

Actually, if you take “Thought Bush either caused 9-11 or sat back and watched it happen” to mean “Bush could have prevented it if he had paid attention to what was in front of him”, then the statistic begins to make a great deal of sense. There has been a great deal of evidence showing that Bush received multiple reports from the CIA and FBI about “possible terrorist suspects” and “Jets could be used as a bomb” and whatnot. He didn’t connect the dots.

Now, it’s open to interpretation whether you think that that means Bush let 9-11 happen. Not intentionally, of course, but it was in his power to stop it had he been observant or competent.

Therefore, I feel that the 42% of the democrats do in fact have a case: Bush did not cause 9-11, nor did he intentionally let the towers fall, but he DID have the knowledge beforehand to prevent tragedy, and he was not able to use it due to either incompetence, laziness, or stupidity.
